I haven't gone to Tracfone's website in about a year. Just checked it out and saw that the plans now offered seem to be different from the last time I checked. Didn't they previously have one that offered unlimited talk/text for 365 days for $199? I saw unlimited plans where you choose how many months you want at different rates per month depending on how much data you wanted included, but not one for a whole year. Did they discontinue that plan?

If you're only wanting unlimited talk/text for 365 days, the plan is there for $144.  It looks like this.  Slide the bar over to the 12.

Yes, I saw that plan, but it doesn't include data. Seems, though, like it would be my best option. Would just need to also buy their "add-on" plan for a minimal amount of data.

In your original post, you only asked about unlimited talk/text--not all three.  I hope you find what you need!

Things have changed since they were acquired by Verizon.

tracfone data is not important to me         there are very few times i cannot pick up wifi in lieu of using any of my data       have used for many years and most data used in 1 month was 240mb

you can get a service plan -365 days + for $99.00

In the Add Ons- you can get data for $10.00 I add as needed.

HSN had a samsung tracfone for less that it would cost for a 365 service plan, so i just bought a new phone. that way i got data too and an upgraded phone.(bigger)

We still have a land line and maybe i don't use my phone as much as some, but this works for me(us) as my hubs does the same.

@10sluvr --I didn't see an unlimited plan for $99. Was that a plan for 1500 mins/text? Actually, I could go back to 1500--I used to have that plan--but I kind of like having unlimited.

QVC2 is having a Tracfone show today, 9/13, and one on 9/28. I suspect that today's show might feature their new Moto Razr, which I wouldn't even consider (too expensive), but Samsung is going to be shown on 9/28 (don't know which model). I've got a little time before I need to renew, so I'm going to watch for good sales on both the Q and HSN and hope something I want, preferably with unlimited talk/text, becomes available at a really good price. If not, I'll just keep my current phone, which I like, and buy the $144 unlimited talk/text plan for 365 days. I hadn't realized when I originally posted that I don't need to buy any data. I've got a hefty balance already, and since the data rolls over, it's not a concern. Like @mrshckynut , I mostly use wifi.

@qualityshopper

Keep an eye on the HSN sales.  In April I bought a new Samsung A14 (replacing my Samsung A13 phone) with a year of service for $79 ... the 1500 thing.

A few weeks later the price for that same phone had gone up to $199.

Do you remember the saying "they give away the razors to sell the blades"?  Same with Tracfone.  They practically give away the phones to sell the year of service and keep you as a customer.

Next spring I'll get another Samsung phone ... for the year of service.

I doubt you can get a year of service on the Tracfone site for $79 ... with a nice smartphone thrown in for free.
