I just activated a new Tracfone (E226449 - LGL39C) and transferred the number from the world's oldest functioning Tracfone (a Nokia 1100). The new smart phone is working and the old phone no longer has service. This phone has talk and text minutes and data also.

My question is - how do you see the number of minutes your phone has? The old Nokia had the number of service days and number of minutes right on the main screen and my LG800G Tracfone has that info scrolling along the bottom of the main screen. Anybody know where to locate this info on this new Tracfone smart phone? I found the phone number and service end date info but not the number of minutes. I am trying to see if the minutes transferred from the old phone and I cannot find any info about minutes at all. Guess the phone is smarter than me! Thanks

Hi ceekay ~ do you have an icon showing for My Account? If so, that will give you your remaining units for talk, text, data, and # of service days. Be sure to enable wifi so your account can update when you are checking units. It will then send you a text with the new totals. I don't have an LG, i have Samsung, but i'm assuming these features work the same. Congrats on the new phone!

I have the LG Olympic and I had to open a widget to check my min and data time. Go to your widgets screen and see if you ave one called ""my account"". That is where the info is. Then they send you a text with the info.

On your phone at the bottom are four "buttons". The third one over (looks like three horizontal bars) - tap that and it brings up a menu. Tap on "Add apps & widgets". You should see some icons pop up on the bottom of your phone. One of them says is the Tracfone logo and says under it "My Account".

Tap that one to install it on your main menu. (You'll see it "jump" to the main screen.) Then you can just tap that whenever you want an update of your minutes, text and data. As SuesCat said, it will text the info to you.

Hmmm - there is an icon called Download Tracfone Account but when I click it it says Item Not found. Maybe I messed up something when I was setting up the gmail account. It is frustrating to not be able to figure things out easily. Guess I need to find an 8 year old to help me.

Go to the Play store and download the free app Tracfone My Account. You will then be able to check your balance. You can also go to tracfone.com and log Into your account. You will need your serial number from the red card that came with the phone.

Thanks for the tips everybody! I finally got the app downloaded and have emailed to see how to get the minutes that come with the phone. All that are there are the ones that transferred from the old phone. At least I got that part working without any problems. Fingers crossed for the rest! The people on this board always have such good advice. Thanks!

In the packaging, there is a phone number you call to add your promo minutes. Call from the new phone and have your QVC order number and zip code ready to enter.
