I forgot I needed to refill my phone service today ,but received email from Tracfone. Last year no problems and process took less than 10 minutes for me but I am very slow.
I learned from so many helpful people on this site to put the cheapest item like add on text and once that is in the cart can purchase the year service for $49.99 and not the normal $125.
Well after signing in and adding my phone number: page would blink or something and the requested to reenter phone number several times. Finally able to click on service plans and add $5 text to cart: then notice popped up use your rewards: I selected accept. Then repeated to accept rewards. I could not move to my cart to remove the rewards , I have 1943 rewards. Tried to log off and special offers popped up. Tried several times.I just closed the site and waited 5 minutes. I returned to the site and my cart was empty and logged out. I started the process. Easy to add text to cart and next page added the $49.99. Then had trouble processing my charge card info. Finally to confirm information took several attempts but finished and able to select : place order. I admit that I am slow but with all the website issues this process took 30 minutes. Finally received confirmation email for order processed. Just needed to vent.

@SouthernBee - I'm glad you were at least able to complete your order, so you didn't lose service.
The last time I used it, to add texts to my phone, I must've messed up something (or maybe I just wasn't paying attention), but I also had to come out and go back in. It didn't take me anywhere near 30 minutes, but I still don't know what I did wrong the first time.
However, I'm sticking with Tracfone, as long as they're sticking with me! Have had nothing but Tracfones for the past 22 years now and I'm happy with them.

@Venezia : Totally agree. I waited a long time before purchasing a smart phone but didn't want to spend mega bucks. I really like Tracfone but today was frustrating.

I like Tracfone, as well. I recently went on their website to add more minutes, and I've noticed that their website has changed. It's not as user friendly as it used to be. It seems slower, and I think they've moved things around. As long as I can get the great price, I'll stick with them.

@reviewer from sc @SouthernBee - It's changed since Verizon bought Tracfone. But they're not going to get rid of me that easily! ![]()
