@Jordan2 - You used to be able to do this, but Tracfone stopped it some time ago (back in 2015 or 2014?).  It was because a lot of people would buy these bundles that Tracfone did as a special deal for QVC and HSN just to get the minutes (for less than they would pay for the card or even the phone).

Now, I believe they even spoke to it in the presentations, the minutes and days of service stay with the number.

There may be a way you could make a case for them to transfer your existing service and minutes, if you contacted them and made sure your old phone was deactivated, but I'm afraid it would be up to them.  The only other thing you could do is use up what you have left on your old phone/number, then activate the new one.

Am I correct in thinking even if you have time left on your current Tracfone you can activate the phone now and the time you have left will just be added to the new phone? The same goes for any minutes you have left, they rollover. I did wonder, I have a Tracfone with a different number that I no longer need. I have a lot of minutes left on it. Can you transfer minutes from one phone (different number) to another phone?

You may be able to get a new SIM card for the phone.  I did this once.  Where I bought a bundle, the LG800 I believe, and I hated the phone.  I was going to use it as my secondary phone.  I had the old Samsung S390G sitting in my drawer so I asked Tracfone if I could switch my number and minutes to from the LG to the Samsung and they sent me a new SIM card for it.  Tracfone has a live chat feature on their website, under the email us section, you could ask them about your phone and see what they say.

Star, I passed on the phone, but ONLY because I already have the 4.5" screen. Regardless, it does look like an upgrade and I'm sold on LG phones. It'll be interesting to see how people like those "virtual" LED lights. They should work just like the others. Also, I'd be interested to know if you still have to "swipe" to answer incoming calls. I hate that lol so I set it to answer calls using the flashing home button.

You can still transfer your current number to the new Tracfone - wouldn't the time/minutes/etc transfer with the number?

Bhawk, just pull up your menu (tap menu icon to right of home button at bottom of phone), open "Call" next to green phone icon, then check "Home Button Answers Call." You can also just click on the phone icon from any screen, then access the menu at bottom right of phone from there.

Yes, but I was answering the question of transferring the minutes/etc. from a different number to a new number.  That's why I said that the minutes stay with the number now.

If you have an existing Tracfone with service and minutes left on it, and you want to upgrade (or just switch) to a new phone and are happy to keep your current number, no problem!

I also have the ultimate 2.  Would you please tell me how you put specific people/texts to different colors on the home button.  I can't seem to figure it out.  It just seems I check the colors and if I uncheck then the color goes away, doesn't give me an option.

There is a title Downloaded apps at the bottom, which I haven't downloaded any, but it is checked.

I have the home button set to answer phone too, alot easier.

Thank you for any assistance you can give me!

Mil3: Open your Contacts, and click on profile of person you want to assign a color to. Then, click the "pencil" (edit) icon at the top of that screen--this opens a screen for that person, and you can assign (or change) a color, ringtone, add info, etc. Scroll down to "Home Button Led," and click to open. Select a color, then click "OK" (the light will come on for a preview). If you like that color, click "SAVE." Some people forget to save the change. Hope that helps!
