Hi. Just a quick question on how to set a Samsung Galaxy A15 Tracfone, so that the wifi from home router is used and not Tracfone Data. I used to just turn on data saver in my older Tracfone, but this doesn't seem to work on this one. I read instruction pamphlet, but nothing seems to work. Thank you for any info. Susi.

@Susic - I currently have a Moto Tracfone and I've had other brands in the past. Never had a Samsung, but I've always just made sure wi-fi is on.
As long as it is, it uses available wi-fi (home or out and about). It only uses my data, if no wi-fi is available.

Mobile data can be turned off in settings. I found these instructions on Samsung's site. I keep mine turned off. I only turn it on when I need it, which is hardly ever.

@Susic Info from owners manual page 97.
Wi-Fi
You can connect your device to a Wi-Fi network to access the Internet without using your mobile data.
1. From Settings, tap Connections > Wi-Fi, and then tap scan for available networks.
2. Tap a network, and enter a password if required.
I don't know why it says tap a network. Tap your Network
That should also say enter your router password.
3. Tap Connect.
If this doesn't work page 98 in the owners manual has more steps to try.

I keep all my GB of data turned off, and use available wi-fi in Connections. My wi-fi is always at the top of the list and automatically kicks on when I walk in the door.
I rarely use my own data. When I'm out grocery shopping, I pick up the store's Wi-fi.
Wait .... Doesn't everyone do that? ![]()

Thank you! I turned off data usage, appreciate you all taking time to reply. It is my husband's tracfone. He never takes it outside house and 'suddenly' his data went to zero. I had a tracfone up til last year and used to turn data off all the time, and never had that problem. Just got him this new one and wanted to make sure it was set up right. He just uses to play games. Susi.
