I've always activated my Tracfones on their website with no problem. Last night the website would not recognize the serial number of the phone I bought here at QVC. I felt anxiety starting to build.

 

I activated the new phone using the old phone's text HELP to 611611. It took 3 minutes, and the new phone turned on in 5 minutes. All new minutes, service date, etc. were included. The Tracfone Transfer Wizard transferred all stored info like contacts, photos, etc. without a glitch.

 

I have always been a fan of text HELP to 611611. Now more than ever.

Have never had/used a Tracfone, but so happy you had success in a timely fashion by texting HELP to 611611 and found out it works so efficiently.

I've often wondered. Thanks for sharing your story.

I activated a TracFone from HSN about a month ago using the instructions in the box, with no problem
