@Venezia, wanted to tell you it happened again!

The phone number, airtime date, and minute totals from one TracFone showed up on the widget of the wrong phone!

This is despite the fact I will put the phones in opposite ends of the house and never have WIFI on on both phones at the same time when I'm making a TracFone purchase.

The 1st time this happened was after buying texts.

Now it happened after buying airtime for one phone.

Solved it myself without the painful 'Tech-chat' this time. (If you contact them, their default position is that you've "tampered" with the phone and their protocol dictates they just disconnect your service!)

Bottom line is that's why I take a pix of the widget on both phones showing current air & totals before making any purchases for either phone.

Since this happened to me twice it cant be that rare an occurrance.

That's good idea to take picture.   I just purchased 200 minutes, text, and data.  They did not triple as QVC says they should text was  3087 plush 600 should be 3687, but Tracfone is telling me I did get my triple minutes and gave me 3376.   Minutes was 2237 changed to 2790.  If 200 had been tripled it whould be 2837.   This company is really shady.

I sent my husband's phone back because it wouldn't send his old number to the new phone. I asked for replacement.  We got another phone HA HA.  His contacts were in the so-called new phone.  QVC needs to look into this company.  They are giving them a back name.

@x Hedge- I only have one phone at a time, so I've never had the issue of added minutes showing up on the wrong one.

They always say you need to have the phone turned on, when you purchase.  Maybe the solution is to switch the other phone off completely?

Do you have an online account for your phones?  I wonder if it's linking both phones through that?  Either way, it shouldn't happen when you have two distinct phone numbers.

@Venezia, So sorry! Last time this happened I chatted with another poster who had multiple TracFones.

I had it in my head that was you.

Not only did I have the other phone turned completely off, but I used a PC (library) to go to my account on the TracFone website, so the purchase wasn't made on the phone.

I waited about 20 min after the purchase showed up on the correct phone, then I turned the other phone back on.

The first thing I noticed was I'd lost 2 months airtime. Then I realized it was showing the phone number for the wrong phone.

@x Hedge- No worries!  I'm always interested in things about Tracfone anyway.  Smiley Happy

Glad you managed to sort it out by yourself.  I know it can be difficult trying to explain those kinds of things on the phone to CS.
