These Quick Mass Productions Are Causing Poor Quality Control of HP Products

HP is pushing out their new Pavillion g7's so fast there arriving w/ defects...

I ordered my Pavillion g7 on March 16 arrived on April 4 w/ a defective keyboard (only the on screen keyboard and top row of the function keys were operaable. I immediately contacted the For Life support which was included in the purchase package and after 40 min of troubleshooting was told it was a manufacturing problem and to contact HP directly and was given their support phone number..I immediately contacted HP and was given a tech. support ticket number. We then together tried to resolve the keyboard problem and tech. advised that it was a malfunction of the keyboard and I would have to send it back to them for repair. He stated they will pop out the defective keyboard and pop in a new one and have it returned to me within 2 to 3 days. He said to give them 48hr. to be put into their system for warranty updating and I would then receive an e-mail advising me when FedEx will be delivering a return box and packing instructions for the return. I received their e-mail on April 6th at which time I called the number given and was then told we are sorry but due to me ordering the laptop from QVC and not HP directly I was not covered under HPs' warranty policy and to return the item back to QVC. I said I can't do that because QVC is only the vendor of HP and they cannot fix this problem. He then said "We are sorry for the inconvenience. Is there anything else I can help you with today? Thank you for choosing HP....Good Bye"...This is the reason we keep hearing the terms "Exclusively for QVC"...HP is under the gun to get these laptops out quickly so they dont give a hoot on quality performance...Needless to say I will never purchase another HP product from QVC or anywhere else again...They do not stand behind their products or warranties....
