I think it's a great idea BUT I won't buy it because it is clearly marked and is such a recognizable design that I figure every criminal knows to look for it and not to trust that the homeowner is there just because he/she verbally responds to his ring. If it looked like every other doorbell, I would consider it.

I agree.

I think the sign is more an advertisement for the mfg than it is a deterrent to a criminal.

I have the ring doorbell . I love it because you can clearly see who is at your door whether or not you are home . I feel very secure when I am home having a live shot of the outside of my front door any time I want to view it - as well as knowing who is at my front door if I am not home.

I do not have the sign and would not use it.

It has replaced the need for a much more expensive camera system . My children also have the app on their phones and can view who is at the door without opening it .

I love this product !

I also have The Ring, and love it for all the reasons previously mentioned.

In addition, it is great to know when packages are delivered, if FedEx or UPS or USPS does not ring your doorbell.

Also captures video evidence of "porch pirates".

However, I would not junk up my yard with the sign.

Lowest of the low in my book. We had people who were following the UPS, FedEx and USPS trucks and stealing packages as they were delivered. Low life trash.
