Before iOS 8, I could search for a contact in the messages App if I had not texted them recently. Now when try to search nothing happens. I have to physically go into the contacts app and select them from there. Has anyone else noticed this? Any idea how to fix it? TIA.

Hi, SWII! I'm not sure specifically where you're trying to search.

If you open Messages and use the Search feature at the top of existing messages, it's only going to find contacts in those specific messages. (Btw: Go to Settings-->Messages-->Message History to choose how long to keep them.)

If you're talking about linking to a contact when you're ready to send a new message, the search of contacts takes place (after you tap the icon for a new message) in the "To: " field at the top of the new message. I just tried it on my iPad (3rd gen) and iPhone 5, and it worked for both.

hth, and if not please let us all know where you're seeing this problem.Smile
