I've been having a problem with my Taskbar disappearing from the bottom of my screen and my Menu Bar moving higher up.  I thought I had it fixed a few days ago and now it seems to be doing it again.  Can anyone suggest what I do to have it stay fixed.  Windows 10.

@kismet    My taskbar is going nuts lately......doesn't disappear.......the icons just keep rearranging themselves.   I am a creature of habit, and this drives me crazy......

Try doing a Disk Cleanup (type that in the search box below). I usually check all the boxes here except ones with 'download' in them. Then hit the Cleanup system files button. Let it run, hit OK then in the final step Delete files. You might want to reboot after that.

Press the f11 key. If that doesn't work, hold down the fn key and press f11. Some computers are different.

SilleeMee,  I did do a clean out when it first started and it didn't make a difference.  Right now it's fine after I got it back.  It seems that if the Menu Bar goes up so does the Taskbar and I can't move the Taskbar down with the arrow.  I checked and there was an update about the time it started so wonder if that had something to do with it.  Normally I wouldn't pay much attention to it but when it does it I can't use messenger.

Caffeina,

A few days ago I found the info to press F11 but that affects the brightness of my computer.  I did find after that to press the Fn key and F11 key but didn't try it.  I did go to the Menu Bar and click customize and then go to the bottom of the screen to toolbar and clicked on Menu Bar.  Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.  I'll try your suggestion next time.

@kismet

Try Lock the taskbar. Do that after you get the taskbar where it needs to be, right click the taskbar and lock it.

SilleeMee,  I did have the taskbar locked that's the strange thing it moved when locked.  I unlocked it and tried to move it down and while the arrow came up it wouldn't move it.  It's still good so hoping it stays that way.  I did notice that my screen left to right moves pretty easy.  Thinking of setting that not to move so easily.  Wonder if that could affect the taskbar and menu bar.
