I admit my lack of technological savvy so I need some help in basic terminology. The tablets appear to be the size of an e-reader like my Kindle. I can search on the internet with my Kindle and it looks like a mini laptop with the keyboard at the bottom. I bought for books. I mostly use my laptop for internet access and it is a 17.3 size. My question - there are so many manufacturers from Pandigital and Coby to names I recognize. What is the difference between a small laptop like a netbook and a tablet? A tablet looks easy to throw in a purse but do you need to stay with major manufacturers like the Toshiba, Ipad, etc. Where would one look for a deal - a Best Buy, amazon, TigerDirect, etc? Thank you in advance for your help.
