Tablet for young child

I want to purchase a tablet for a 7 yr old boy -- something durable and also something that cangrow with him. In todays Toys r Us ad, there is a KURIO 7S android family tablet on sale for $149.99. Does anyone know if this is a good tablet at a good price, or is there some other tablet(s) that I should be looking into?? TIA for any assistance/suggestions!
