TROUBLE TROUBLE lg Lucky Tracfone

First tracfone I have ever had problems with.  First,  the sound went off for no reason.  The reps couldn't help, so had to reset the phone.  Now,  my tracfone acct. keeps reverting to an old, old account.  A rep fixed it yesterday - n ow today it reverted back again to an inactive account.  It draws lines across the screen sometimes.  Sounds like I need to send this thing back to HSN.  First, I have to order another one, so I can transfer my minutes, texts, etc. before returning the "lemon" right?  I'm very frustrated (not being a techie).

Any opinions appreciated!

@Txblond  I had experience with a TracFone I got last March.   They have a one year warranty,  however... and this is big,  if you return it to TracFone,  they will send you an old used reconditioned piece of junk in exchange.   The HSN warranty is only 30 days.   If I'd known this,  I would have taken my nice smart phone to one of these places that claim they can fix any phone.  You minutes etc stay intact until your service time expires.   You don't need to buy a new phone.  Get yours fixed somewhere.

Kachina.  My phone was delivered on Dec. 1, so still in warranty.  Could still return it.  Don't  I  have to get another phone first so I can transfer my minutes to the new phone?  So dumb about this technical stuff.

Re: TROUBLE TROUBLE lg Lucky Tracfone

@Txblond, i take it from your posts you dont keep a 2nd (backup) Trackfone you could move your time and minutes to for safe keeping. And you are worried about losing time and minutes you had prior to the Lucky?

Yes, get a Tracfone from HSN or QVC and move time and minutes to the new phone. Dump that Lucky back on HSN as quickly as you can.

Only buy Trackfones from QVC or HSN,  never directly from Trackfone. And once you buy one NEVER send your phone, YOUR property to Trackfone for repair. As @Kachina624 says, you'll never see your own phone again.

Please Google Trackfone Reviewer to help you select a better phone than the LG Lucky Lemon.

Then see what QVC or HSN has that is among those better choices.

Move quickly. Days fly by and you don't wanna be stuck with your new Lemon.

@Txblond   No,  order the new phone.   When you get it transfer the minutes.  If you have minutes in your account,  they'll transfer automatically when you activate the new phone.    Yes,  I'd return the first one.

@Txblond, if you haven't already taken action, QVC has an LG tracfone on the home page today for $80, but it has a 2 version ago Android operating system.  I recently got the Samsung Galaxy Sky from HSN for $120, but is now $130, but it has the more updated, last version of Android (not the current version.

if you purchase at HSN, Use VISA CHECKOUT  and get  $20 off.  To use visa checkout, you need a visa credit card, then sign up for visa checkout. It's free.

You want to buy a smart phone with Android 6.0 or Android 7.0. If you are running an older version of Android, you could be hacked.
