Switching Between I Pad And Kindle 2

I just got my new I Pad 2 over the weekend and now I'm used to taping the screen to turn a page while reading, well Monday night I was going to read on my Kindle 2 and tried tapping the screen and nothing happened and then it hit me, I actually need to push a button to turn the page ! Kind of felt like an idiot.
