Surround sound

I have a 47 inch Samsung flat screen TV that the sound just died on last night....nothing...no sound at all. It is 2 maybe 3 years old. Should I call a repairman or should I just purchase a surround sound system? And does anyone know of a good easy installable one? Thank you
