Sprint EVO 4G vs IPHONE

I got a call from my daughter. Since she works for Sprint, I got my phone from Sprint and got the EVO a year ago. (yes I do like it) I expressed a desire to get the IPHONE which Sprint did not sell at the time. Her phone message was that Sprint was about to add the IPHONE to the choices.

My phone can be updated in December and she said that I now have a choice should I want to upgrade to another phone.

Here is my question: Anyone have both phones or an opinion on either phone. In my husbands case he would be okay with smoke signals since he never turns it on (only to make calls). In my case I LOVE SMARTPHONES.

I just want to know what I am dealing with.
