Okay this maybe a little long but important..
Need some advice on a possibility of someone trying to hack into my Pc??
This issue started Friday morning.. Tried to go into my emails and a notice from Microsoft came up for me to sign in...
About a week ago my Windows live hotmail was changed to Outlook-express.
Duid not change myself but was automaticaly done. Never got a notice that windows live was upgraded or updated to Outlook..
Seems on Friday i got a notice from Microsoft to sign in with my email address. Also password.
I have a list of all Web-Site Addy's etc... Seems the one i have for Microsoft was not the correct one..
I decided to put in my Windows live one,and mail came up..
Contacted Microsoft since there was a help link..
I did a Tech assistant help with Website support.. I was contacted by a Microsoft Tech, and asked if he could take over and check my Pc.
Seems as what he told me that someone was trying to hack into my Pc,and said i needed additional security for preventing any hacker to get in...
Was told it is called Microsoft 35 Technician.
I would have to pay $79.99 to have this done... At first was quoted $199.00 at a supposed special price. I told him i could not afford the $199.00 and he asked me to hold on so he could speak to his suppervisor..
Thats's when he said the price would be $79.99.
I told him i would have to speak to my husband and let him know.
Am really beside myself worrying about my Pc being in jeopard.. I hate to be taken advantage if there might be another case..
Have so many issues with my computer which i purchased last June..
It is a HP pavilion desk model...
Am thinking of calling Hp and let them know of this issue, and maybe they can advice me what to do?
Sorry i am really so upset at this happening, and would appreciate any replies to guide me?
Just to add i do have Norton Security installed..
I did mention it to Microsoft Tech, and he said i needed extra protection...
Hoping to get some replies.
Thanks,lovestodance
