I loved the solitaire game that was standard with my old computer that had Vista. The new computer I got early last year has Windows 10, but the solitaire they loaded with it is just not as attractive or as compelling and it scores differently.
I do like to play a couple of games just before I log off. It's good relaxation.
I know this is small potatoes in the electronic world as it's a free game and all, but searching to find the original game has only led to dead ends. Has anyone who also loved that early solitaire found a better version that the one that is standard with Windows 10?
It used to look like this, although sharper:

Have you tried Pogo dot com? They have several versions of solitaire along with other card games. It's a free site.

Hey Homegirl, I'm still using my computer that has Windows Vista on it. Like you, I enjoy the solitaire game that came with it. I clicked on the button called About Solitaire and it said that the game was developed for Microsoft Corporation by Oberon Games. Maybe you could google that company and see if they have that particular solitaire you like so much. HTH

Go to google play store they have thousands of games an hundreds of solitaire card game. You are not going to find these old games from a software like Vista on a windows 10. They have better games now for that.

There are a lot of HSN games I could play on windows 7 but not on windows 10. I emailed cs at HSN about it and got a long convoluted message on how I might fix it. Didn't even try. So I basically play Amy Morrison's solitaire game. Will check out the other websites mentioned.

I also like the old solitaire and there is a guy with YouTube videos of how to install the old Windows solitaire game onto your new computer. I've been doing this since Win8.1 and now on Win10 (which I hate, BTW).
It's easy and only takes a couple of minutes. I'm not positive that it's the exact same game, but I'm pretty sure, from Windows7 and prior, that I use.
The newer solitaire with Windows from Win8 and on are just weird and bad, so I've stuck with the old one.
Be sure to save the download in your 'downloads' before installing. The reason I say that is that, since Win10, some of the updates mess up older programs and you have to install it over again. The benefit to saving it is that it takes a nano-second to just re-install it and your previous stats will still be there.

Thank you, @Mardie
That was the first thing I did.
Also, when I transferred files from my old computer, it would not transfer over the older solitaire version.

Hi @chickenbutt
I found a guy named Chris and another by MDTech. Both offered easy ways to upload Windows 7 games, but so far no one is still offering the old Oberon Vista version. Maybe it's a licensing thing. I'll keep searching.
Thanks!

Sorry, Homegirl!
I know the one from Win7 and before is the same one I used back before Win7 (Vista), so I figured it was the same as what you used. Mine looks similar to the screen shot you posted except that I use a different background and card design.
I hope you are able to find it. I know how much it meant to me to be able to install it ever since they dropped it. I'd used that game for years and even tried to like some of the newer ones and hated them.
I just looked and the YouTube one I have saved on this computer is by 'Michael MJD'.
