Last night while I was conducting a meeting online with the zoom app, I had a "questionable" situation.
A person "male" appeared in the waiting room who I didn't know!🤔
[this meeting was for women only so all of the links are set to private]
Anyway, last night and today I am changing my passwords.
Zoom makes this process like trying to enter Ft. Knox (US treasury).
To make matters more complicated, two years ago I inadvertently switched emails on my zoom account and this has created numerous communication errors.
The situation causing my switched email accounts was when I tried to sign in with zoom and the information I entered did not match my iPads "contacts"?

@LTT1 @It does sound like someone hacked your meeting, but bear in mind that, typically, anyone that received an invitation to the meeting can forward the link to another person that can then join the meeting. This is actually a convenient feature for business. It just means that any of your original meeting attendees could have forwarded a link (intentional or not).

Thank you and eventually last night I realized this could have happened.
But it was hard to think in the moment!

Interesting...thank you for this information!

Hi @LTT1
You had a question mark at the end, but not sure if yu are asking. Just wanted to make sure you know you can just edit your contacts to update any info. I am unclear whether that was a problem.
Can you exclude the person from the zoom meeting? Did you set up the meeting?
I haven't used zoom that much, just joined some meetings set up by others.

Thank you
Yes I set up the meeting. Included a waiting room but must be admitted by me.
That was the unnerving part. I found his profile photo on meetup and his eyes were obscured by a black bandana.
I just let him stay in the waiting room and then he left. So he didn't make it into thevmeeting
What I did find late last night by google is that if someone typed a meeting number wrong this could happen.
But I sure didn't like his user name or his picture!
was glad I had the meeting set to the option of "organizer must admit".
Changed my passwords
will call zoom today...

@NYCLatinaMe @Goldengate8361 @skatting44
The more I think of it, the more I’m pretty sure that someone who was a valid member of the group and had rsvp'd just gave out the link to someone random (and possibly not well meaning)
But I did have set enough security to prevent a crasher lol!

Yes...very creepy. Blonde hair slicked back off of forehead and black bandanna covering eyes.
I just let him sit there in the waiting room.
But because of his weird name (which "Cat burglar ?" Is all I can remember.
It made me nervous.
oh and from Ontario Ca
The name of my group is "Ladies Support"
