Scrolling Problem

Help! I just replaced my 6 yr. old computer because of a scrolling problem. This computer, Dell, Windows 7, is only 4 days old and up to this time has had no problems. I was on facebook page and the darn thing did what the other did, scrolled quickly to the bottom and would not let me scroll up. I must be doing something wrong, and any suggestions would be so much appreciated.
