I've had my Netgear router since 2010, and had no problems. I have a desktop and a laptop. The desktop is showing in the #2 port, but for 3 days the laptop is not showing in the #1 port, where I thought it was showing previously. The router has 4 ports but I only use two of them, for the desktop and laptop. I can still use my laptop which says I'm connected to my wireless network, wpa2-psk. I'm concerned why I'm only seeing the desktop showing up in the ports.
I called Comcast Sunday and he couldn't help me, so he gave me a number to a 3rd party company. I talked to a guy there and he wanted to charge me $79.99 fee, and $19.99 a month. He said that would take care of all my electronics. I told him I would think about it. I only have 2 computers and a printer, so I don't think I need their service. I thought Comcast took care of their own customer's internet problems.
If anyone has an answer for me, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks
