Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

Can't wait to cut the cable. Roku works OK, just weighing options.

Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

I've got 3 Roku boxes and love them. That message to click OK may be helpful if you forget to shut QVC off when you're finished watching. Otherwise, if your ISP has a restriction on how many GB's you can stream per month, you may have to pay extra to your internet provider for going over your limit.

Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

Love the Roku (I have three of the Roku3 units), but I've never watched any sort of live tv with it. Sorry it's been problematic but I have a feeling it's more from QVC's end, or your internet connection possibly, than the fault of the Roku.

I mostly use mine with Netflix streaming and it's totally worth the $7.99 a month just for that. It's not going to replace cable tv, however, so I hope people have a clear vision of what it DOES do and what it DOES NOT do in that respect. Smiley Happy

I don't have any problems streaming and I don't even have cable internet. I just have ATT Pro level DSL and it streams flawlessly.

Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

I love my Roku 3. I cut out cable completely and have Netflix and Hulu Plus.

Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

Thank you all for the responses. I have decided Roku is excellent. The constant interruption on the QVC channel keeps me from watching too much QVC. I switch to other channels that do not have the Network Error (there is no problem with my network) and "still watching" question. I can listen to other channels or music just fine.

We have the Apple TV and now the Roku. We find the Roku easier to navigate through and hubby thinks the picture is better. I'm not sure about the picture but I do like the ease of navigation and the Apple does not have many TV Channels other than what is on Hulu. I do like the interaction with my IPod and Apple devices with the Apple box but if we had purchased the Roku first, not sure if I would have purchased the Apple Box.

Re: Roku 3 - Still Watching?

I love my Roku, although I think we have two of the Roku 2's. I have not cut the cord yet because I only pay $19.99 a month for Dish with a package they no longer offer. I don't watch qvc on the Roku so I am not sure how that works, but it seems like the interruptions would be annoying.
