My old tracfone had some pictures on it I'd like to have again but it died, and won't turn on. Is there away to retrieve those pictures from cyberspace onto my android chromebook?

Have you tried charging the battery first so it turns on?

If you no longer have service on that phone, I really doubt it. You could call Tracfone and ask them.

It isn't the battery - the phone just stopped working one day- out of the blue. I must have had a premonition because I had already ordered a new phone before it happened so in a couple days I was back up & running with new phone.

I'll take it as a lesson learned to always move pictures I am fond of over to my computer's cloud storage.

Try removing your battery & reinstalling it to charge to see if it will work.
The pics may be on the micro sd card that you could get the pics off of.
Google how to move pictures from micro sd card to computer to see how it's done. HTH

@Nightowlz great idea - I should be able to put the SD card in my computer and save info. TY.

You don't need service to deal with pictures

My instructions suggests to charge the phone fully.
Remove the battery and press the "power on" button for about 10 seconds.
Replace the battery and press the "power on" button until it comes on. Worth a try!
I just moved some pictures from a very old phone by bluetooth. Didn't know the old one had bluetooth. It linked to my LG Tracfone! Who knew?

@151949 that is what I do with all of my pics...I have a tracfone and will send the pics to my Google drive account via email just in case the phone will not work...learned this lesson several years ago when my phone would not turn on and I lost several pictures..Because I shared via email I was able to get some of those pics back.
