I have Q on in background, and just happened to hear a mom call in who purchased for her son at college. I was saddened when she said her son had told her MBP he wanted was about $2000. Why I felt sad was, she felt she was getting a steal and great buy, where actually she is spending $500-600 more. I realized she should have researched more, but wanted Dan to say something like, hey he is probably talking about retina MBP, not this model. I know they are there to sell, but still. All that said, I only buy from Apple. Whenever I have talked with Apple sales, they usually have tried to downgrade my purchase, and lead me into right direction, not lie by omission.
