Anyone own a RCA tablet?? I am looking to purchase one but not sure about some of the lower cost ones say compared to Apple. Is RCA a good one or not??

RCA is not good product - had a RCA TV - one year old - starting having problems. The guy that came out to fix it says they "cold solder" the boards, not "hot solder" and therefore they don't last. told me not to buy RCA. Spend your money wisely.

I own the RCA Viking Pro tablet and have pretty much used it every single day for well over a year now. I purchased it over a year ago during a Black Friday special at Wal-Mart for less than $80. I did a lot of research at the time on android tablets and found this one to have very good reviews across the board. The tech pros highly recommended it at that time. If I'm not mistaken, it was pretty new to the market back then. Hope this helps. Please Note: This tablet has wireless wifi only. You would have to purchase a mobile hot spot if you want to use it where wireless wifi isn't available. And, it does not have voice activated GPS.
Forgot to mention, I highly recommend this tablet. It's been an excellent tablet for me.

You may want to look at an Amazon Fire HD 8" tablet. Amazon has thousands of reviews on their site.
The other tablet would be an iPad mini 4. You can see if Apple has any certified refurbished products for sale.
No one wants to waste their tech dollars.

I agree with CocoaMolly. I too own an RCA Viking Pro tablet, use it everyday and am very pleased with it. It has a detachable keyboard and does everything and more that you could ask, especially for the price point. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

I bought a RCA Cambio 10 in. tablet a little more than a year ago. Actually wanted to use and understand Win 10 before I upgraded my 17 in. HP laptop. I love this little win10 tablet and have no issues with it. Got a good deal at Walmart. Now I have a 10 inch android tablet that is about 4 -5 years old and was actually looking for something newer running android 6.0 - marshmallow. Saw intro of the new viking last night on hsn & have done research this morning. This viking has several good upgrades - OS to 6.0, better front & back cameras - 2 & 5 MP - best of all the inclusion of an ips screen which definitely improves viewing and color. Wish they had upped memory to 2G but sure this will be OK. Comparing Apple to any budget tablet is not practical because of the 300-400 price difference. As far as refurbished apples, forget it. Price points are generally not much discounted from regular costs. I still do not like their proprietary attitude as their ios platform not friendly to windows or google. No memory expansion slots so to get sufficient on board memory, you pay through the nose (and ram is cheap). And I would not compare a tv to a tablet - two different platforms. If you are new to tablets, this one is at a good price point with good upgrades - it is not even up on the RCA website as yet (the older model is). They did say last night that this was a new launch with RCA team on site. Not available anywhere else with this model number. Quite frankly, I am ordering this one as my android upgrade and will have fun with it. Good luck in your decision.

I am glad to read your review. I am not familiar with tablets and took a chance to order. This makes me feel better about my decision.

To elated - I hope you enjoy your purchase. I ordered the paisley as a fun cover. Also want to add that I took advantage of Visa checkout and they did automatically add the $20 coupon so 99.95 plus tax was the outcome with the easy pays too. Love a bargain!

Thanks to all who responded....just got back here to check....I have waited so late and still not sure...think I may try it and see how it goes for me....I would only use it at home mostly so I think this should be fine for me. Just didn't want one that was slow like other brands have been reviewed. Purple color isn't my 1st pick but oh well it's not bad either.
