I read about CleanMyMac here yesterday. I'm pretty sure it was here. I can't find the thread or would page the person who posted about it.
I'm thinking about trying out the free version. I have a 2019 Macbook Air and am using MacOS Monterey. It's been slower lately. It started before I downloaded MacOS Monterey. It's slower to bring up some websites (don't know if it's my laptop or the website), and it's just slower to bring up some things in general.
Would CleanMyMac help? I would like to try the free version and possibly subscribe if it would help keep it running faster.
@dooBdoo I just searched and found a thread that you posted on in 2016 with a warning about using CleanMyMac. Do you feel like there is something better? I will go to the Apple forums now and read about this.
My Mac isn't terribly slow, but it is noticeable to me at times.
Edited to say: I went to the Apple Forum Community and read about it and will not install it. I found out that it can act like Malware. Some said it was like a "cousin" to Malware.

@NickNack I would call Apple contact technical support first. They may have some suggestions. Maybe something is using up your RAM

Thank you @Teddixat . It's really not slow enough to contact Apple technical support. It's not slow all the time.
I did go to the Apple community forums and read about CleanMyMac. They strongly advised against it.

I believe it will install Malware on the Apple.
I am super careful about downloading any thing on my Apple.
I had a notice RE: Adobe something or another. Can't remember its specific name, but it was not the reading Adobe and I didn't realize it. Some where along the way, I downloaded it and Malwear was installed as a result. It is annoying, and I am unable to find it and delete it. Now I am absolutely paranoid and avoid down loading anything that I have not checked out in advance.
