We have an iPhone and 2 iPads and I've updated them all.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Hi, gidget! I've been battling a nasty migraine since yesterday, so haven't felt like trying much in iOS 8 yet or researching the changes.

I did a quick look-up, though, and I think this discussion might fit the bill for you, answers many questions about photos:

Where did photostream and Cameraroll go in iOS 8?

link goes to: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6537671

Thanks dooBdoo- I printed all that and will read it some time today. And I hope your migraine is better today.

I haven't had much time to play around to see what all has changed. We've had an incredibly difficult week- some health challenges for my husband. I'll take some time this weekend and see what all the changes are.

I will say though, that the pages seem slower to load. I have had apps crashing. When I scroll on a page when I'm on a website on my iPad, there's a slight delay in the page filling in.

I like the new keyboard though!

Hopefully they'll figure things out with the photos. I read some of the posts on the link you provided and people aren't pleased and are as confused as I am.

Thanks for the good wishes, gidget and Lynnj! I'm sorry to hear about your husband, gidget, sending thoughts and prayers to both of you.

All my photos seem to be intact, but I recently moved nearly all of them to my iMac so I don't have much to offer in that respect. I agree, based on an internet search there's plenty of confusion about the changes.

So far my iPad (3rd gen) is running as quickly as before, and none of my apps have crashed. To their credit, a large number of the apps had updates prior to the launch of iOS with changes to assure compatibility. There will be many more updates in the coming days as they adjust to reports of problems.

It took me a minute to get used to the changes to Safari and the keyboard (playing around with the "Predictive" feature), but no problems. I love the fact that they added DuckDuckGo to the default search engines. I'm a huge fan of DuckDuckGo and their goal to protect the user's privacy, so this was a pleasant, welcome surprise!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Re: Question about the iOS update

So far, I'm loving all the new changes.

I updated Sunday morning, and it took no longer than 15 minutes.

Re: Question about the iOS update

Few features I'm NOT digging:

-) Double tap on the home button & recent IM contacts pull up....even if you've deleted their message thread. You can disable it, but it won't go away.

-) Deleted photos are in a special folder...taking space. In essence, you have to Delete the Delete for something to be Deleted. (That was a mouthful!).

BUGS to be fixed:

-) Tiny Pic site isn't working. Boo. Adding photos to this forum is on hold for a bit. Boo.

-) Keyboard freezes up...especially when posting on this forum. Type out in Notes, then cut/paste.
