I was reading an article and tapped with three fingers on a word to get the definition like I have always done. It didn't work, so I Googled how to do it in El Capitan, which I had just downloaded. It said to tap on the word with three fingers, which is what I did. I then tried it in a different article in case there was just a glitch in that one, and it still didn't work. Does anyone know how to find the definition of a word in El Capitan while in an article? Maybe I need to change my settings so it will work with the three finger tap?
Edited to add: I asked the Apple Community and found the answer.

Why didn't you share the answer to your problem?

@glb613 I went into System Preferences -- Trackpad, and checked to see if the 3 finger tap for dictionary was enabled. It wasn't, so I enabled it. Now it works!
I also found out that I can highlight a word, and right click on it, and then click "look up in dictionary" and it will bring it up.

It's always nice to post the fix so others will know what to do if it they have the same problem. Thanks for sharing.

That also works on my Samsung tablet. Highlight, then click on "ddictionary".
