Question Please For You Computer Experts

I bought that click free back up thing here on the Q. I just got a new lap top today and wanted to use it on the lap top to transfer my files and stuff. My question is if my comptuer had a virus when I backed it up onto the the click free back up thing, is there a chance that I will be transfering a virus to the lap top? I'm afraid to plug it into the lap top I dont want to mess anything up you know?
