Both work identically, but most users would prefer a disc version as you can buy used game discs and you can't buy used digital versions. In a weird quirk, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo often charge you more for the nonphysical digital version of the game than they do the disc/cartridge version.

Finding either version right now is more than a little tricky. The resellers are asking as much as $4,000 or more for a PlayStation 5 these days. About the cheapest you'll find one from a reseller is $1,000 and you're lucky to find one that cheap. Amazon often sends out alerts when they're available and they're typically gone in a blink. The game console and videocard marketplace is a bit crazy right now. Demand is far exceeding supply.

Thanks again @gardenman! I saw this after I saw your other post- LOL! I'm not sure she'll even be able to get one for us, but I do appreciate her thinking of us. I'm going to tell DD to tell her the disc version!  Smiley Happy
