I just remembered, 2 years ago,my then 17 year old granddaughter bought her first computer from QVC. It was about 800.00, and she made ez pay from HER account! She had savings in there, but I couldn't imagine it was over 700-900 dollars. She used her debit/Visa card from the bank in her name. She worked weekends, so she had regular deposits. She did not have toprove anything. She had the account for about a year at the time.

I simply cannot comprehend that you need something like this tv so badly that you're putting yourself through something that has you so aggravated. You've already acknowledged that the selling price is more than you would spend locally.

Since you're willing to overpay for a product just to get the "easy pay", why not check out some place like Aaron's, or Rent-a-Center, or even some K-marts now have rent to own on tvs and appliances.

Must be some kind of new policy.......never had trouble with them. In fact, they give me easy-pay when I don't even want it.......just forgot to check off the option. (And I am not really a "steady" customer.)

Do you need a new TV right now? Did your old TV die?

I suggest taking the $236 monthly payment you would be making for 6 months, save that each month. Then after 6 months (or less) you will have the cash to purchase a TV locally.

If your one and only TV died, and you cannot borrow one from a friend or relative, you might be able to find a small old inexpensive TV at a thrift store just to have something until you have the cash for a new TV.

You may even decide on a smaller TV when you look at them in person. You can compare the picture of all the models when you look at them in person too. We have a 42 inch TV we got at Costco some years ago and we love it. I could not imagine have a larger TV, but that is just me. I know some people love the larger screens.

I know someone that has horrible credit but she bought a computer here on 6 easy pays and heard the other day she bought an expensive coffee maker last summer on easy pay. I was shocked that she was able to do this.

I did find out she missed some of the monthly easy pays (she's terrible with money) and the bank kept charging her fees for not having the money in there at the time. I think her bank paid the easy pays but charged her every month for having her money in there late. There's no way she would have had the whole amount of the purchase in her checking acct. when she got the easy pays. If she has money she spends it. Now she has lost her job but the easy pays are already paid off now and she has never used the computer nor knows how to.

Go to best buy and get something from them using the store credit card. They offer 6 month payment, sometimes more, with no interest. So it's the same as paying cash and making easy pays. Plus you'll get something cheaper than the q offers..probably nicer too. If you have the kind of funds you say you have in your account, surely you'll be approved for an in store credit card. I've never heard of the q denying easy pay to someone so must be more to the story here.

I purchased an item on the 23rd and my account was suspended... i had to fax some stuff in to verify i was who i was to complete my order and was assured my order would go through if i verified... however my account has been reopened but my order was canceled... they said i didn't have enough payment history for easy pay... so why make me go through all the trouble of faxing things and being told my order would be fine if they were going to cancel my order.. im so angry about this.. in my opinion qvc is a joke... and they said i can order low ticket items but refused to say how low.. i don't even know what my limit would be.. terrible business practices on qvc's part.

This does not make any sense....

When you listen ""On Air"" to first time callers who are buying
computers and other items and using the ""Easy Pay"" option
We wonder why you were omitted from using that service?
