Every time I get a new Tracfone I have a terrible time getting it to work correctly. I transferred my number from my old phone to my new phone that wasn't a problem. I downloaded the app (My Tracfone Account) which tells you how many minutes, texts, data, and the end of your service. When I log into my account it says it's inactive (the phone works). Also on the Tracfone website in my summary it doesn't show my 2 Tracfones as active devices, when I tried to add them it says it is an error. I spent 25 minutes waiting to speak to someone and he was no help at all, he didn't solve either problem. Does anyone have any advice for me?TIA

Ask to speak w/a supervisor and/or manager.

When you transfer your number to your new phone then the old phone becomes 'inactive'. So your account should only show one phone - the new one.
They should also have transferred your remaining minutes/texts/data and remaining service days.
If you got your tracfone from a shopping channel, it is best to call cs from that shopping channel for assistance.

When we had problems with my tracfone it took three people before my husband finally got one that actually helped set it up. She was great... wish I knew her name.

I also visited West Virginia and Virginia over a year ago and couldn't get a signal with my Android Smartphone. However, Tracfones were being sold in all the stores - it's just that they were the older (non-smartphone) types. (Also, CDMA as opposed to GSM.)
As we were driving back to the airport to return home, my phone suddenly signaled a text message coming in. I pulled over to check it and found it had been sent four days earlier!
I still wouldn't give up my LG Tracfone. Love it.

I got a new Tracfone in January - my 3rd one -and on this one the my account widget will not work so I have to go to the tracfone website to check my balances.
I agree with the poster who said your old phone should no longer be active once you switch the number over to your new phone. If you bought your phone from HSN they have a fabulous customer service # that will figure it all out for you.

I asked this on another thread but didn't get a reply, maybe someone can help me. I would like to export all my contacts (phone numbers) from my old phone to my new one. I remember I did it once before but can't remember how I did it. I really don't want to have to put each number in one by one.

Download an app called the Mobile Content Transfer Wizard to both phones. After they're installed, open them, and follow the easy instructions on your screens. You can transfer contacts, photos, music, texts, and so forth. It took 20 seconds for my things to transfer.

Thanks @Ainhisg I will give this a try! Also, I have 3 Tracfones I don't use. I was wondering what everyone does with theirs? How do you delete any info and personal things you have on the phone? I was thinking there must be an organization that I could donate the phones to.
