@Susic and @proudlyfromNJ, you're welcome! And thank you, @Susic, for bringing this up. It's something lurking in our devices that can aggravate and annoy us, and it's perhaps not always the first thing we think of if we don't incorporate it into regular maintenance. Same way with other devices, too, and particularly on the Q's website which is unreasonably sensitive to old data hanging around... clearing old browser data (and keeping software updated to the current version) can prevent or clear up so many problems. I hope you'll find this makes a positive difference for you! Thank you for your posts!😊

I had to clear out two areas in Safari settings - Clear History and Website Data and Advanced.
I can get into Amazon now, but lost all my Safari open tabs. I had a lot of them.

That's right, @ Montana, sometimes you have to go into both areas to clear it all (I do it each time as I listed just to be sure everything is gone). Also, it's supposed to close out tabs you had open because those are there as part of the temporary history and not permanently.
This process is to clear out the history and temporary data, sort of a reset for the browser to let us start fresh each time. It improves efficiency, removes bad data, and it also can improve security. Generally you'll use bookmarks or favorites, or add sites to the Home screen as icons, if you want to have quick and frequent access to them.
You can even add a bookmark for several tabs (hold down the bookmark icon and select "Add Bookmark for [number] Tabs.") Then, you can use that if you know you want to open specific multiple tabs/sites all at the same time.
I like to close everything down in an orderly manner -- log out of all sites I've opened, close out the tabs, close Safari app in background, and then go to Safari and delete all the data and history. Then relaunch Safari and start anew.

That is good to know dooBdoo, I certainly had a lot of clutter in there and did notice my IPad was acting pokey lately. I do ‘Clear away’ all my open sites every day, but never knew about clearing all the website data. It is funny it just caused trouble on Amazon, and others had same issue. I am going to go over all this later and do a good cleaning! Once again, it is really nice of you to take time to explain all this, and I am happy to be back on Amazon. Thank you! Susi.

@ Montana wrote:I’m having the same problem. How do you wipe out website data?
ETA: I haven’t done any recent updates.
Before you wipe out website data know that can result in you having to reload into many of your frequently visited sites because the sites won’t automatically recognize your device anymore once you wipe out the data. I have done this a few times and it can be a pain in the neck.
I’ll tell you how to do this, but you might just need to reboot your device first before you clear your cache, aka, wipe out website data, on your device. you can also wait a couple days for a fix from Apple. You can also try resigning into with your password to Amazon.
How to clear website data:
If you are on an iPad or iPhone go to the Settings icon>Look for the Safari icon, find it, then open it>Scroll down u til you see CLEAR HISTORY AND WEBSITE DATA

Just a note, @Mindy D... as mentioned earlier in this thread we shouldn't be relying on the saved cache, history, website data, etc., in the Safari browser because that's only temporary storage and it's intended to be cleared and refreshed frequently. Other features, such as the permanently-saved auto-fill login info, bookmarks, favorites, and so forth, are intended to be used as permanantly-stored data to keep up with frequently-visited sites and login info we want to preserve. It's not a good idea to rely on the browser's volatile data for those things.

So glad this is working for everybody!
Sorry to check back so much later, I got side-tracked!
You are such a prize! You are the guru of tech and I kiss your feet!
Just now I cleared out Safari...forgot about this one.
i also reset the gateway and clear out "data-bits" by unplugging the SmartTV while the gateway resets!
Doing this each morning seems necessary these days.🥰🥰🥰
