We've always had HP and have had good luck with them. Our current one is fine, although a little slower, and has a scanner. Now we need one with fax. We do a lot of document printing, and a lot of color printing. I design and print birthday and other cards. Can anyone recommend a good one? I was hoping for some Labor Day sales, but the ones I'm looking at are more for a small business. This will be for mostly personal use. TIA! ![]()

I really believe you are going have to buy a more office style printer if you want the fax option. I can't remembered the last time I faxed anything. When I was working, I faxed a lot. I worked in Health Care and the ones in charged became concerned about privacy plus we also went to digital documentation. Slowly the need to fax anything disappeared and printer makers dropped the feature for most of their home printers. Not to mention many househoolds don't have a landline anymore. If it was me, I'd find the printer/fax which has the options I want and not worry about whether it's more for businesses or not. Your options are going to be limited.

ETA my last HP printer all in one was fraught with compatibility issues vis a vis network etc and I hated it
and you all know I am quite capable at solving computer issues
I wouldn't touch another

You will unfortunately not find many sales on tech products.
I buy HP printers. You may want to consider the HP 9015. This a fast all-in-one office printer with Fax, Wi-Fi, ethernet, and Bluetooth.
Amazon will have a user guide and specs sheet listed along with most printers.

My printer doesn't fax, but it takes ink tanks, rather than those cartridges. It's by Epson EcoTank. The tanks last a really long time, I believe. However, I haven't had it long enough to test that fact.
