I keep getting a pop up whenever I check news on msn.com. It wants me to click and download 'get-user-id'. I am suspicious of it and never click on it, but them it freezes my screen so I can't read the story I want. If I just scroll from headline to headline, no problem. But as soon as I click on a story, I get message. Any way to get rid of this, if anyone has had same problem. I have tried deleting and reinstating app, doesnt help. Only happens with MSN. Thanks , Susi.

Go into your browser(s) Preferences>Privacy & Security.
Enable the "Block pop up ads/windows" or some other similar wording option.
Download/Install an ad blocker directly from the manufacturer website and/or from your browser(s) add-on store.
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

Thanks, will check it out. This is the only 'ad' that is causing problem. I was thinking it was an attempt to install malware of some sort if I clicked on it.

Maybe the want you to register a password and ID in order to use the site.

It is just a news site. Nothing requiring registering for. It freezes everything and nothing can be done except click on download, or press X to close window. I am pretty sure if I press the X, I will download something .
