I've used my phone for about two years without a screen protector. I don't have any scratches on my screen.

Same here. I take good care of my phones, but they do fall or get dropped from time to time; it's inevitable. I'm sure having a case on them has kept them as damage-free as possible. My military protection grade case weighs 3 oz.

ITA cases are essential.

In fact, when I purchased my 6+ iPhone & 12" iPad,

I purchased the cases BEFORE I went to the Apple Store.

The Otterbox on my phone is so light...minimal.

Did you know you can buy cases for almost any phone, even TracFone models, on EBay?  You can get screen protectors too.  I got a pretty turquoise case for my Samsung TracFone.

I've done that too - bought cases in advance. Or in the Apple store at the time of purchase. I make them put the phone screen protectors on!

My devices are too expensive to be without a screen protection and a case. I can not understand people who take the chance on going without those things the glass being so fragile and all.
