I need help because my I-phone is large but I have way too many photos.  I have backed up on a Picture keeper but uneasy with one backup. I heard a regular backup device (not the flash drive type) is a good choice.  Any insight on what to use and how to do best job would be most appreciated.  FYI I have more than 10,000 pics.

I backup my photos in the Cloud.  I also have many thousands of photos and videos. There is a fee of $2.95 a month.

No expert at all, but I have been warned that flash drives have a shorter lifespan.

I do cloud, share them and also hard drive.  Hopefully some will make it.

The cloud for me also. I have Amazon Prime, so they back up photos for me on the Amazon Photo app. I also have a Microsoft 365 sub, so their One Drive also backs up my photos. And Google does on their Google Photo app also. Apple has the iCloud so you should be able to just log into that and backup your photos there.

Save your photos to ICloud. I pay $1.00 a month to store all my photos in iCloud instead of on my phone/tablet/laptop.

I'm also considering loading them on a flash drive or a separate hard disk drive.

Yeah, barring a nuclear apocalypse, my photos (and writing) should survive somewhere. And It's all done automatically. Sometimes I'll take a photo. Look at it. Decide it's not good enough and take another, and find the one I almost immediately deleted had been saved to the cloud already. Just Google "Amazon Photos" and you should find all kinds of information.

@gardenman  I use Amazon Photos as a screensaver on my living room smart tv.  Only photos of Prince & Lenny Kravets that I found on the WWW I use as screensavers on "shuffle" mode.
