I am having issues with my outlook email.  The other day I wasn't getting emails and eventually did.  It happened again today.  I get the emails through gmail and on my phone but not through outlook on my laptop.  I have googled and tried a few things, still nothing.  Any ideas what I can do?

This WHOLE PAST WEEKEND, I have been having TV, VOIP,  and Internet issues.

I have even gotten strange messages saying "poor connection" and even one that told me I have "low electric power".

This is with wired cable.     ??????

I don't use Outlook, but something similar sometimes happens to me with my Apple Mail app on my iPad.  My mail comes through fine on my phone, but not the iPad.  If I switch to the cellular data, it shows up.  I'm thinking it may have something to do with one of the updates they did a while back because I have heard of others with the same problem not connecting to WiFi.  But this only happens occasionally and only with the mail.  đź¤·â€Ťâ™€ď¸Ź

@geezerette Thank you.  I had issues on Friday and then it worked after about an hour.  It worked for a while this morning and now nothing.  I can go to my gmail account to see them but it's not as convenient.

What version of Outlook do you have? I have Outlook 2024 and have no issues. However, up until a few months ago, I had version 2019 and it kept getting corrupted every 2 weeks to the point that I could not recieve or send emails anymore. Microsoft no longer supports older versions past 2024 as they are doing their best to get people on the subscription version vs the "one time purchase" version and therefore Exchange Server is constantly corrupted because they don't maintain it.

If you have the latest version (2024) or even an older version, contact Microsoft Outlook Technical Support. They have an online live chat support line that they can help you with step by step instructions. Sometimes it is best to reinstall Outlook when these type of issues happen because in my experience they don't fix themselves. It will just get worse and worse until eventually you need their help to fix it. Support can help you with uninstalling/reinstalling Outlook or tell you what is going on. It's a free service so you have nothing to lose.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

Re: Outlook Issue

[ Edited ]

Pecky, there are 3 different forms of accessing Outlook so I am going to list each one because I don't know which one you have.

If you are using a computer (desktop) to access your Outlook emails and you purchased the software to install it on your computer, then do the following:

 - Open your Outlook

- On the very top on the Left-Hand Side, look for "FILE" and click on it.

- Find "Office Account"

- On the Right Hand on top, it should give you what version you have like 2024, 2019, 2016, 2013, etc.

If you are using the "Microsoft 365" PAID SUBSCRIPTION which is a monthly fee, then you should not be having any issues at all because Microsoft monitors it all the time and since the issues you mentioned seemed to be Exchange Server related, I assume you do not have this one. If you do, just contact Microsoft Technical Support to assist you. It's free.

The 3rd option is if you are accessing Outlook though the web. This is the best option for those that have old Outlook versions and don't want to shelve out money of $300-$400 to buy need Microsoft Office license.

Microsoft offers Outlook.com web-based email account for free for personal use. I can't enter the link here but go to google and type "download Outook.com for free". Instead of paying so much money for a license that is only good for 2 years & then going through the hassle to download it on your computer, you can go to Microsoft website and download Outlook which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. for free. It’s the 2024 version.

Once you download it and installed it on your device, you will be able to access Outlook and the others via your browser. The only slight problem is that you have to keep logging in & out each time you open your device or if you accidentally close your browser while you are working in outlook.

Honestly, this 3rd option is the best option for everyone and I haven't incurred any issues at all in the 3 years I had it installed. I also purchased Office 2024 because I need it for work as I can't do some graphs & other technical things in Word when I use the web version.

Anyway, it is easy to install as it will only take a minute and you do not need to uninstall your other program. If you have any issue or need help installing it, just contact Microsoft Tech Support to have them download it for you and answer any questions you have.

Good luck! Hope this helps!

@Kaiti126 Thank you!  I do have the family MS 365.  The issue seems to be i eventually get the emails all at once and then nothing.  I went into my gmail account and all of the emails are there and I made sure everything is synced so it will go to outlook.
