Always used Dell- both desktops and laptops (Inspiron)--- Now HP claims to be the top dog- what's your opinion? Who's better--I need a new laptop preferably 17" with office. Reasonable - I don't do gaming but I don't want a snail either and I can't afford to buy a new one every couple of years.

ALSO- anyone know when the newer windows version is coming out?
