Olympus Shutter Button Not Working

About 2 years ago, I bought the Olympus SP-810UZ camera. I have used it when I went on vacation, but I don't use my camera very often. The last time I used it was in August. I am currently on vacation and brought it with me. Everything is working fine execpt for the shutter button won't take a picture. I called Olympus, and they wanted me to mail it in for an estimate on the price to fix it. I don't think that is a good idea becuase I can always buy a new camera.

I have Googled it to try to find a way to fix it. I haven't found anything. I may try to bring it to a camera shop when I get home to see if they can fix it. I was wondering if anyone knew any tricks to try to get it to work. Thanks for your help.
