Did you know that the lifespan of OLED TVs can be extended if you turn down the brightness level and also don't use vivid color settings. The brightness on OLEDs is so bright that you really don't need the brightness level set much past 50%. One of the biggest complaints about OLED TVs is that the screens can get burn in and that's b/c of the brightness and contrast settings are set too high. Some people feel that having such a bright and vivid screen is the reason why they bought an OLED to begin with so why spoil the fun?!

@SilleeMee my husband always uses the "expert" settings where he changes it from all factory settings to what is best for the room it is viewed

I did look at the OLEDs and the store didn't have a 65" on the floor. they had a much larger one. It did have a beautiful picture but I would of liked to see what a normal station would show but stores don't do that. I'm trying to block the bluelight from tvs and computer. I use my computer on nightlight. The employee told me that LG had the first OLED and they have updated their tvs more than the other brands. I did look at the samsung also but they pretty much all look the same in a store. I have always reset my tvs for color when I got them. My 40" Sony has a great picture and it's about 15 years old but it's too small for the family room. Right now the newer Sony is in the family room. Can't watch a movie with darkness in it because it's hard to see characters. My news stations and regular movies are fine as long as they aren't dark. GH isn't good on this tv so have to watch it on the 40". I have decided to wait closer to Black Friday and the holidays to see if it's on sale. Not in a hurry but so done with this tv. Probably will keep it as a backup or give it away. Back in the day it was so easy to buy one.

@kismet I have a Sony OLED and I love it because OLED shows truer colors and a better picture. They show the picture from all angles, better than LEDs. A store clerk showed me the difference. by comparing the view from the 2 diferent styles. Sometimes the reason we can't see as clear in an LED is the angle that we are viewing at. To me the difference is noticeable, because I like to watch dramas, which have dark scenes. With an LED TV, I can only see dark scenes clearly if I am facing the TV directly, not from a side view. But if you need brightness, OLED TV images are darker than LEDs. The recommendation for people who want a brighter picture is LEDs. That is why the showrooms are full of bright images. To block blue light, you can get glasses. Only the orange ones block blue light 100% like these ones, available in Amazon.
This style fits over your glasses. There are many other styles, all price ranges.
The clearer the lenses are, the less blue light protection they offer. The orange lenses will of course affect your view. I only wear them near bedtime. I wear clearer blue light blocking glasses the rest of the day. You can get fairly clear glasses with some blue light protection
