I have never used the Numeric keys on the right end of the keyboard. I'd rather they leave them off the keyboard. I can see people using them for work - but are they necessary for everyone? Who here wishes they'd leave the Numeric keys off laptops?

I always use them. They are a must for me, for my desktop. I pay bills, do taxes, etc., on my desktop computer, and I like to have the numeric keys on the right side of the keyboard.

Not as necessary on my laptop, but preferred.

You are in the minority. When companies first took them off to save space, that was the number one complaint. Same goes with when they started getting rid of optical drives.

LOL, we are all different. I always use my numeric keypad when I need to type a number. I never use the number keys about the alphabet keys. I won't buy a laptop without the numeric keypad.

I use them. The thing I hate the most about a MacBook is that it doesn't have the keypad.

I can't imagine not having them. I use them constantly at work. I am a Senior Buyer and I deal with numbers all day.

I have a macbook air and I only have the numeric keys across the top none on the right hand side.

The numeric pad is a must. So much faster. My sister even had an external USB numeric pad with with her laptop.

I like the keypad; I never "learned" the numbers at the top of the keyboard, so it's always a hunt and peck situation when I have to use them.
