Notes App on iPad 3 won't launch

Has anyone else had this problem? When I press the Notes icon the lined page briefly flashes and goes right back to the home screen. I did both a hard and soft reboot and that didn't solve the problem.

Re: Notes App on iPad 3 won't launch

Is your iOS current, and have you noticed any other problems? I have a 3rd generation with 7.0.4 and I've had no problems with Notes. You could try several trouble-shooting steps, such as closing all apps running in background, clearing cache, or even resetting "all settings" (but you'll lose some of your customized settings if you do that). You can always go to your search engine or to the Apple.com community and search for "Notes crashing on iPad," too.

First, though, try something quick and simple: launch Siri and ask her/him to write a note; say something, anything, for Siri to put in the note; then tap on the note and it will take you directly into the Notes app. This might reset the app for you.

I have to run right now, but I'm sure you'll get more suggestions. I know it's frustrating.

Best of luck to you!Smile

dooBdoo, THANK YOU! The Siri trick worked and I have my notes back. Woo Hoo! Can you tell I'm happy? Again, I really appreciate your help.

Fab-U-lous, Montana! You're welcome -- it's a funny little trick isn't it? Glad it's working now!
