I saw the TS @ HSN today. It got me wondering. If a person bought a wifi tablet. Would the cellular smart phone be able to connect to it to make the tablet work without 3-4G?

I know you can do a lot with the phone itself but a larger screen would be nice.

I guess my question should be. Is 3-4G the only way to have a tablet that works anywhere at any time?
