Non tech savvy person seeking explanation

I have an Asus android tablet - something it does that i can't figure out. Sometimes when I go to Bookmarks it is in one format and other times it is in another format. In one format I can access my "saved pages" which is where I download things like recipes but when it flips to the other format I can't get to them.I know they have to be in there somewhere but i can't figure out where. I look for them in the cloud as my niece told me that everything you download is in the cloud, but i can't find them there.So - my questions are - why does it flip format and how do i find my saved pages?
