I will need to continue to watch that next week, but I did find it odd the day after I updated the Internet didn't go out once. I am also finding that Safari is much faster. One other thing about safari, before the update, whenever on safari there was a spinning wheel at the top left constantly. Since update, no spinning wheel. Page open, I connect, wheel stops spinning. Looks like Apple,is finally fixing things, and I hope it continues.
Same here. I was considering getting a new router because of the problems.

If you had a backup, you wouldn't have lost the pictures. You really need to look at how you backup your devices. This is especially true for people who use their phone to take pictures.

I did the update on my iPad Air and for the very first time, it freeezes up, plus there's no sound.
Is there a way to go back?

I updated my iPad, iPhone and iMac the day the new software was released. So far, no problems and I agree with Lynnj, I see some improvements.
I urge everyone to perform frequent backups if you value anything on your device. And it's especially important to do a backup prior to installing any updates.
NanaLinda, Do you have no sound at all on anything?
When does the device freeze up (what are you doing when it happens), and how often is this occurring?

Apple had problems for 2 days last week...

On 3/16/2015 Kzeks said:Yes they did. The Apple Store and iTunes went down. Something about the DNS servers on Apples end. I mentioned above the problems I has with my internet going in and out. Before the update, I would check logs on my Mac, and saw all kinds on DNS error messages. I knew it was something Internet. But didn't know how to fix it. Now I see that Apple did something in this update to fix the DNS with our connections and routers, because I instantly saw my connection staying connected, but I laughed because that fix messed up their own servers. I wonder how much money they lost during the 24 hours people couldn't logon to iTunes and App Store to buy things? But....as far as an update. I noticed my internet went out today at 3:15 this afternoon, but it came right back. Before the update my internet would go off/on all day, starting very early in the morning when I logged on to start work. So only having it happen once today is an improvement, but I didn't notice it go out all weekend. I hope what happened today isn't the start of something again. I will continue to monitor.Apple had problems for 2 days last week...

dooBdoo, it freezes at random times, but will come out of it after 30 seconds or so. Very irritating!
As for the sound, no, there was no sound at all but I'm embarrassed to say that I failed to check the tiny mute switch above the volume switches. I know I didn't switch that to mute, so I wonder if it happened during the update. Anyway, I'd never have know it was there except a pop-up informed me that the device was on mute, and how to correct it.
That problem is solved but it's still freezing up when it wants to.

Hi, NanaLinda! I'm glad the sound is fixed. Don't be embarrassed, I remember doing the same thing on my iPhone not that long ago.
Not sure if you've tried these, but since it's not specific to certain apps here are some basic things to do to see if the random freeze-up will stop:
Close apps running in the background: http://www.wikihow.com/Close-iPhone,-iPad,-and-iPod-Touch-Apps
Clear Safari cookies, data, history: Go to Settings, Safari, and tap "Clear History and Website Data"
Restart or do a hard reset of the device: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559
You also might want to take a look at the usage (under Settings, General, Usage) to see if you have any storage problems. Also, be sure to sync/backup your device regularly -- that's good protection and also it cleans out some of the diagnostic and usage data that accumulates pretty quickly (you can view it under Settings, Privacy, Diagnostics & Usage, Diagnostics & Usage Data).
I'm sure I'm leaving something out and others will have more tips, but these are the first I'd check out. hth!
