Need help with Printer

When I go to print I get the message USB Port not recognized. I go to printers, it says offline, I put it online. Go to print and it says error. Most times I do this over and over and it will eventually print.

Last week I deleted the printer from the computer and downloaded it again. All was fine.

Today I go to print and I get USB Port not recognized.

This has been an ongoing problem for me. It seems to happen when I need to print something important. It is so frustrating. Can anyone help me??? Thanks!
