Need help choosing a camcorder

Hi To all, i need some help. I know nothing about camcorders, and would like to learn to take some home videos with sound, something i can transfer to a dvd, and not to terribly expensive. So any recommendations would so be appreciated!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!
