Hello Everyone,
I've come here because I was unable to find what I needed for my husband's birthday per my son-in-law's recommendation.
My husband wants earphones (not buds) that plug into his computer (not laptop), that are comfortable and have a long cord. My SIL recommended Logiteh or Plantronics, both of which he uses. Unfortunately, I can't find earphones from either company without the speaking mouthpiece attached, for which I don't want to pay and don't need.
Can any of you make a suggestion. I'm willing to pay $150-175.
Many thanks in advance for your help on a subject of which I know absolutely nothing.
Regards,
Rebecca

You could get any headphones and then get a long extension cord at Radio Shack or somewhere. I've got a box full of misc audio cables.

That's what I use, although I probably got the extension and the headphones at Amazon.
I think cords for headphones are probably all a pretty standard length. The extension headphone cords are great and there are different lengths.
My favorite pair of headphones are Sennheisers. I forgot the entire model number, but it ends in 55. There are probably newer models out now, though.

nutmeg,
This is what I was looking for on Amazon and could not find - probably because I just didn't have enough information on board. These two are exatly what I need to look at and consider.
Because I am completely ignorant in this field, I needed to be directed to a product and you did exactly that. For that, I thank you so much!
And though I prefer the "looks" of the Audio-Technia," being able to purchase replacement parts is very important, because DH gets in a fit on occasion and will thrown things in his computer room. (I tend to stay out of there.)
Thanks, again.

We talked about this and my husband is old school and wants headphones with a cord. Thanks so much for taking time to help me through this!

The problem with me purchasing any headphone is that as previously stated, I know nothing about this technology, so would be very disinclined to do that. Really appreciate your kind thought. Just wish I knew more so I could do it up right.

Thank you, chickenbutt. I'm definitely checking our Sennheisers. Thanks for taking the time out to share your information.
